Took a little hiatus from all of my swatching! Here’s the Joe Fresh Nude from my long ago haul. I’ve actually bought around 7 more lacquers since then. I really need to stop this expensive hobby. These pictures were taken when I filed down my nails because they have gotten too long and were starting to chip. So now, my nails are short, some are square and some are rounded. Fortunately, I saw a nail repair video on Youtube and was able to mend my cracks before they got out of hand. If I find the video again, I’ll post credit of course!

Formula: Very opaque and thick, but applies and spreads out evenly. Slightly streaky on the first coat, but the second coat evens it all out. 100% opacity after the second coat that is, so you don’t really need 3 coats like many other polishes. Because of the streakiness, I’d give the formula an A.

Drying: This color took almost no time to dry much to my happiness. It took me around 10 seconds for the first coat to dry and around 20 seconds for the second coat to dry. I give it an extra 3 minutes after fully drying before testing out any denting. I didn’t get any so I was relatively satisfied.

Durability: As I’ve said before, I spend a lot of time in the pool. So my nails don’t tend to last any longer than 1-2 days because of massive chipping and peeling because of chlorine. After one day, I only had slight chipping on the edges of the nails as you can see in the pictures. Other than that, the polish withstood a lot of pool water torture.

Color: A very muted dusty pink. It says “nude” on the bottle, but I see it as more of a grey pink than nude. For me, nude would need more yellow in it. However, I really enjoyed this color and I think that anyone that’s into lace, doilies, girly things, pinks, silvers, beiges and greys would really enjoy this color. It’s certainly not your typical everyday gumdrop pink.

Overall: This color, along with my other Joe Fresh Swatches merits an A++ just because I loved the color and the drying time was so short. I’d absolutely recommend this color to anyone that enjoys vintage colors and wants to try something slightly different. The only problem would be that this brand is only available to Canadians, so you’d have to either live here or get someone to expedite some to you. Other than that, I loved this color and will most likely buy a backup bottle just in case I ever finish my first bottle, or it happens to run out.
